Potions Classroom

Potions ClassroomThe Potions classroom in truth is actually one of the large dungeons in the under level of Hogwarts that has been turned into a classroom, it has little windows near the top that barely let sunlight into the room. The room is quite cold due to it being a dungeon and having stone walls, during the winter it's cold enough that students can see their breath as they breathe.

Slytherin Common Room

Slytherin Common RoomThis is the Slytherin Common Room, the entrance is a blank stone wall, which opens when the password is given. The common Room has a large ceiling which has a green flamed Chandellier hanging from the ceiling, the light is quite eerie, they provide light, but no heat, luckilly within the center of the room there is a fireplace with a roaring fire. Within the room there are numerous green couches and arm chairs, these are quite comfy and soft, along with that there is a large oak table in the center where students can do homework, play cards, etc. There are also green lamps around the room which provide further lighting.

Hufflepuff Common Room

Hufflepuff Common RoomThe Hufflepuff Commonroom is in the Dungeons in a seperate section from the Slytherin Commonroom. The room is in a similar structure to a Cellar, but is different from most rooms in the under level and is not a dungeon. Truely enough it is quite cozy and warm, within the room there are many yellow hangings, along with fat yellow armchairs, there are lights which illuminate the room, even if there are no windows the room is quite lively and cheerful looking. The entrance of the Commonroom is a Still life painting which is near the kitchens it opens with a password.

Hogwarts Kitchen

Hogwarts KitchenThe Kitchen is located in the under level of Hogwarts and is located directly under the Grandhall. It is located next to the Hufflepuff Commonroom. The Kitchen Entrance is a large picture of food with fruits, apples, and meat/etc, which opens when one tickles the Pear on the picture. The layout of the kitchen is similar to that of the Grandhall and has large tables, the tables themselves are actually exactly where the tables of the Grandhall are, the food placed on the tables goes through teleportation straight to the tables in the Grandhall. There are hundreds of house-elves making food and cooking in the room.

Occupied Dungeon Cells

Occupied Dungeon CellsThis is where multiple dangerous animals and such are kept, These cells hold things untold, it is unsafe to venture here and usually the only ones who go here are the Care of Magical Creatures teacher, or the Disipline Manager who brings the naughty students here for torcure. One can smell the danger that lurks here, the monsters and creatures here are well placed, and placed in cells which have had powerful charms and spells cast protecting them. There is also a room at the end with various instruments of pain, here is where students are punished without mercy.

Entrance Hall

Entrance HallThe Hogwarts Entrance Hall is located on the Ground Floor of Hogwarts school of witchcraft and Wizardry. The Entrance happens to be displayed with a large pair of wooden Oak doors which are crafted with much majesty, they are old, but nonetheless keep the gates of Hogwarts safe. After passing through these doors you can see a large marble staircase which goes toward the schools multiple stairs and the main staircase area. At the top of the marble stairs is a large colorful mosaic holding the four houses. To the right is the entrance of the Mainhall which between the Entrance and the Grand hall is a pair of double doors.

Great Hall

Great HallThe Grand Hall, the great hall in which Hogwarts is mainly remembered for.

The Grand Hall is one of the main gathering areas in the school, in here Students eat their meals, receive daily owl posts at breakfast, and during holidays have special events occur. The Great Hall is a large hall that contains a Staff table and four lagre student dining tables: One for each House. The ceiling is enchanted such that it imitates the current weather or mood of the community. This area is used for communal eating, Apparation training, and some exams. This is also where new students are enrolled into the school and where the sorting hat sorts students into their house.

Staff Room

Staff Room

A long, panelled room with mismatched, dark wooden chairs. There is a wardrobe which can become infested with magical creatures. The entrance to this room is guarded by two stone gargoyles that can talk. The room within the center usually has a large table, along with having various furniture and such. It is also used by teachers to teach sometimes, or for special learning classes such as dancing and preparing for a ball, the furniture is easily removable.

Caretakers Office

Caretakers OfficeThis is where the Caretaker keeps files on the students and their behavior. It also containing files of student records and confiscated contraband. This room per student has entire drawers for their files on misbehaviour. The office contains well-oiled chains which were, at a time, used to punish students.

History of Magic Classroom

This Classroom is where students learn about the history of Magic. It is often used by other teachers for private lessons and tuitoring sessions after classes are over. It contains a blackboard along with multiple bookshelves and desks, there are spinelike candles which illuminate the room brightly. There are various artifacts and such in the room upon little tables and such.

Muggle Studies Classroom

This is where students learn about Muggles and their habits, lives, and culture, along with their history. It is here that students are also tutored by other teachers after class, other teachers also use this classroom if their classroom ends up getting destroyed/etc. It is dull looking and doesn't have much beyond some desks, a blackboard and a couple items such as flashlights and odd muggle contraptions.

This is the office for the Gryffindor Head Teacher, it holds the records and grades of all Gryffindor students along with their behavior/etc.

Charms Classroom

This is the Charms Classroom, it is often full of activity. The Classroom has large pew/desk like areas for the students to sit and work in while the teacher stands at the center of the classroom. The room is full of bookshelves and stacks of books, there is a blackboard at the end of the class where the teacher lectures. There is also a large window that lets in sunlight into the room.

Headmasters Office

The Headmasters office entrance is a large doorway leading to the spiral staircase that goes up to the office. A password must be spoken to gain entrance. The spiral staircase will soon enough move upward toward the Headmaster. The entrance is guarded by stone Gargoyles which have been cast with powerful spells to defend the Office if needed. The room itself is quite elegant with many silver and gold instruments everywhere, along with old artifacts and elegant curtains. At the end of the office is a desk with a bunch of pictures over it, the images of previous head masters are in the picture frames. There are also bookshelves within the room.

Trophy Room and Armour Gallery

The Trophy and Armour room holds many beautiful trophies and such also housing awards, cups, plates, shields, statues, and medals, which are kept in crystal glass displays. This room also contains a list of Head boysand Head girls, along with honors and titles and such. It is shining with glory.

Defence Against the Dark Arts Classroom

The Defence against the Dark Arts classroom changes from time to time depending on the teacher within it, they place their belongings and their own things within the room. The room itself is like a normal classroom, but can have the desks and tables removed and is actually quite spacious, there is a old wardrobe along with serveral book shelves and such here and in the back is a small office in which the teacher resides. The room has a large chandelier at the ceiling along with having numerous artifacts, and such. There are some pictures of random people in the room along with antiques, plus parts of broken dark tools.

Hospital Wing

The hospital wing contains several beds and the Nurse's Office. It is a quite tranquil place at most times and has several windows to allow beautiful sunlight and a great view of the school grounds, it is quite large able to support multiple injured students and their friends. There are screens incase students have a injury/disease that may be contageous or vulnerable to sunlight. The beds also have small tables next to them for the students to have their medicine placed/etc. The Nurses office is a small room with a desk with files on the students and their medical histories, along with a wide assortment of medicine and such.

Library

The Hogwarts Library contains tens of thousands of books on thousands of shelves. Included in its many sections is an Invisibility Section, a section with information about dragons and the restricted section set off with a rope. The Restricted Section has books with information deemed dangerous for common knowledge. Students must gain permission from a professor to browse this section. One of the books in this section screams when opened. Food or drinks are not permitted in the Library. The Library closes at 8 p.m.

This is the office for the Ravenclaw Head Teacher, it holds the records and grades of all Ravenclaw students along with their behavior/etc.

Prefects Office

The Prefects Office where the Prefects go to hang out and such. They will also bring misbehaving students here if they are caught. The prefects will give them a punishment or send them to the Caretaker or a teacher to receive a punishment. The Prefects have soft chairs in which they sit in, along with some bookshelves and a desk to study in. The room is well kept and clean and even has it's own bathroom for the Prefects.

Transfiguration Classroom

It is considered to be amongst the most complex and dangerous magic taught at Hogwarts, Transfiguration is actually quite powerful when used correctly. It requires a lot of studying and hard work though to master it, The classroom for it is located on the fifth floor and is elegantly decorated, although the room is simple it's walls are beautifully painted a white color and the room seems almost new, there are polished Bookshelves along the room along with shiny wood desks. The end of the classroom holds a desk and a blackboard along with a few small to medium sized cages to hold animals at times.

Ancient Runes

Ancient Runes is a mostly theoretical subject that studies the ancient runic scripts of magic. The class itself is in some ways interesting, but difficult it is the ancient forms of magic, so it holds powerful magic, but at the same time completely useless things as well, it is still being studied and the class itself teaches it to students. The Class is filled with runes which are placed in cases inside the room, there are some desks and a large window at the end of the class, there is a black board and a teachers desk as well. Beyond that there a numerous interesting artifacts in glass cases.

Storage Room

This is a storage room where they place things from time to time, usually though its empty its a good place for alone time or to practice magic, It's a cold quiet room. The place has some old boxes around the place, you can see some cobwebs beautifully hanging from the ceiling. At times the room is locked if something is actually placed in here, but sometimes it isn't, one can find strange things within this room.

Arithmancy

It is often a favourite subject for students who like to deal with numbers and logic and in some way is a wizards/witches version of math, it involves complicated number charts and such. It is apparently a more accurate (or at least more accepted) way of predicting the future, similar to an obscure but existing hobby of numerology - the belief that number patterns existing in real life can be calculated to give information regarding the future. The class itself is quite well kept, its a bit boring, but its a classroom. There are desks in the class and bookshelves with books, along with long charts and lists of numbers on the walls.

Room of Requirements

The Room of Requirement can only be found by someone in desperate need. One must walk around the corridor three times, passing a portrait of Barnabas the Barmy, all the while concentrating on what he or she needs. When the room reveals itself, it will contain the solution to that need. It is believed that the room is Unplottable, as it does not appear on the Marauders Map, nor do its occupants.

Gryffindor Tower

This is the Gryffindor Tower where the Gryffindor students reside here is their common room and Dormitories, it is one of the larger towers in hogwarts and one of the higher ones at that, it is well heated and illluminated.

Owlery

The Owlery is a tower in Hogwarts Castle. Students' and school's owls are kept in the Owlery during the school year. Here you can get mail and send it, there are owl droppings around the floor and you can see many feathers/etc.

Ravenclaw Tower

Ravenclaw Tower is located on the west side of Hogwarts, it is a long spiral stair for the most part, but at the top is the common room of the Ravenclaws and their dormitories, it is a rather cold, but nice feeling place.

Clock Tower

The Clock Tower provides access to higher floors in the school and also has bells to signal the hours and class times. There are some massive gold and copper bells which ring when classes are over, starting/etc. It is dusty and cobwebbed here, most students go here when they want to be alone/etc.

Astronomy Tower

Astronomy is taught at night in the tallest tower of the School the Astronomy Tower. Astronomy is also the only field of study at Hogwarts which has a direct equivalent in the Muggle world. Known student activities include learning the names of stars, constellations and planets, as well as their location and movements, and describing the environments of planets and moons. Students need to get their own telescopes, but there are also telescopes in the tower, along with various models, items and such in the room. The room is a open roofed one.

Divination Tower

The entrance is a ladder in the North Tower is the location of the Divination classroom at Hogwarts. It is filled with small fortune teller like tables, along with having crystal balls on them, there are many shelves with various things, along with strange things hanging from the ceiling, there are also many books, leaves, and plants. You can smell herbs and many other things in this room and it has a mystic feeling to it, or is it just the herbs and steam?

Care of Magical Creatures Classroom

This is where students learn about the Care of Magical Creatures, there is a opening in the forest near the Game Keepers Hut which has stumps where students can sit along with a blackboard which was dragged out into the opening, it is too close toward the entrance of the forest so there aren't any dangerous animals in this area... usually.

Herbology Classroom

There are at least three greenhouses where Herbology classes occur. Greenhouse three is restricted as it houses Mandrakes, Venomous Tentaculas and other dangerous plants. It is here where much of the schools herbs and such are found, along with some of the schools vegetables and medicines. This place can be accessed with the permission from the Herbology teacher after class. Class is often quite exciting for a plant class.

The Forbidden Forest

Forbidden to students, as it home to a many dangerous and foreign creatures. Detentions are often held here. The Gamekeeper will frequent this area for various reasons. The forest is home to many dangerous creatures, it borders the edges of the Hogwarts and its grounds. It is often dark here day or night.

The Black Lake

The Hogwarts Lake is a large body of water located to the south of the castle. It is about half a mile in diameter and the Hogwarts plumbing network drains into it. It is home to a giant squid and a colony of Merpeople. The lake is very often cold, and during winter it freezes up and is capable as a temporary Ice skating rink and such for the students who stay during the holidays, it is usually frozen solid and will not break, but who knows every now and then a student mysteriously vanishes...

Quidditch Field

The school has it's own pitch where Quidditch teams practice and play games against each other. It is often a school event when a match happens and everyone comes to watch the match. First years usually don't make the team, but every now and then who knows.

Here, you can find anything needed. It is located a few miles or so away from Hogwarts. Some stores here are The Three Broomsticks, Zonko's Joke Shop, Hogsmade Station, etc. Students are usually allowed to go with supervisors.
